Reiki with Mamta Blog

Diamonds are for ever, as the saying goes, but if you are looking for a present that lasts a lifetime without costing the earth, give your loved one the gift of Reiki.

Giving a gift voucher for a Reiki treatment could be the most considerate of gifts, offering the recipient the chance to relax, rejuvenate and rebalance themselves after the excesses and stresses of Christmas. Or, if you know they like Reiki, you could go one step further and give them the opportunity to learn Reiki for themselves so that they can treat themselves, and friends and family, every day, for the rest of their lives.

Sometimes people have been given a Reiki treatment as a present and they have enjoyed it so much that they have gone on to learn Reiki. Some people have received a Reiki class as a present. This is what one of my students has to say about receiving a Reiki class as a present:

“I think it’s the best present I have ever received, because it’s part of me, and it´ll be always there, making life nicer. To give Reiki as a present for somebody you love, it´s a great gesture, it’s to give the tools for happiness, for healing yourself and others.  After the first few days with Reiki practice, I felt lighter, I felt like there is a place where I can always go and feel safe. No one teaches us how to meditate when we are little, society is focused in making people productive, but they forget about wellbeing, this is why we need to find the ways for happiness, and to be able to stop our routines, and listen to our bodies. Reiki can be learnt quickly and easily. A healing practice offered through light touch, Reiki enhances wellbeing by promoting balance within us at all levels – body, mind and spirirt.  A Reiki Level 1 class usually runs over 4 days and costs  £200 but the benefits are enormous and last a lifetime. I learnt Reiki in 2001 and have been giving myself a Reiki treatment every day since then. Over the years I have benefitted tremendously from having Reiki in my life. I feel that it is one of the best things I have ever learnt, and the best value for money. Words can seem inadequate to describe Reiki – the best way to understand it is to experience it for yourself.
